The EX500-SS-W family of Hawk explosion-proof instrument enclosures have a window cover and are made of Stainless Steel. They are available with two or three conduit connections of 1/2", 3/4", or M20. In addition, the process connection can be 1". They are easily secured to walls and pipes via the cast-in flange (with mounting holes) and a groove in the back of the enclosure to center it on the pipe. Four internal cast rails with drilled and tapped holes make it easy to mount electronics up against the window. There are also four drilled and tapped holes in the base of the enclosure for mounting a PCB or other components. The enclosures have provisions for attaching a tag as well as making the cover tamper-proof. Like all ExDirect aluminum and stainless steel flame-proof instrument housings, the EX500-SS-W family of Hawk enclosures carry UL, CSA, and ATEX and IECEx approvals.
